Dear Humane Society of Independence County,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Preston Keith, and my wife, Jennifer, and I are delighted to share an incredible journey that began nearly eight years ago when we adopted a pup from your care. His name was Wick, but we lovingly renamed him Koda.

Koda's story began in Arkansas, where he spent his first year with us. His boundless energy and curious spirit filled our home with joy and laughter. When Koda turned one, we embarked on a new adventure, moving to the bustling metropolis of New York City. For nearly five years, Koda embraced the urban lifestyle, exploring Central Park, making friends with other city dogs, and even learning to navigate the subway.

Life had more adventures in store for our little family. An opportunity arose that took us across the Atlantic to the romantic city of Paris, France. Koda adjusted to the change with remarkable ease, strolling through the picturesque streets, visiting charming cafes, and even taking in the sights of the Eiffel Tower. Parisian life suited Koda perfectly, and he became a beloved member of our neighborhood, charming everyone he met with his friendly demeanor and wagging tail.

For the past two and a half years, Paris has been our home. Koda has thrived in the vibrant city, and we've cherished every moment together. Now, as we prepare for our next chapter in Oregon, I found myself reminiscing about our journey and decided to look through Koda's original paperwork from the Humane Society of Independence County. It was then that I realized how far we've come and how grateful we are for the joy Koda has brought into our lives.

Koda has been to over five countries and more than ten U.S. states, a true globe-trotter with an adventurous spirit. He is still going strong, and we couldn't be prouder of the incredible dog he has become. We owe so much of this happiness to you, for giving us the best pup in the world.

We would love to reconnect with Koda's roots and learn more about his brothers and sisters from his litter. If there are any original photos or a way to get in touch with their owners, it would mean the world to us.

Regardless, we wanted to express our heartfelt thanks and share some photos of Koda, who continues to brighten our days and bring smiles to our faces.

Thank you for everything you do. You gave us a gift that has transformed our lives in the most wonderful way.

Warmest regards,

Preston, Jennifer, and Koda
